StoryDev Character Generator

StoryDev Character Generator is not just another character generator. Most sprite sheet generators supply limited options and functionality, and are often restricting on their licensing terms. We have none of that. All of our assets are custom-made and can be used for any purpose (see full terms below).

Features

• Choose between male, female and child options.
• Fully customise the body and add clothing parts, including for the head, chest, leggings and feet.
• Customise the colours of multiple layers in assets that support it.
• Add colours and manage colour palettes for every item type.
• Create and manage projects and a multitude of characters for your game.
• Export 48x48 pixel character sprites to PNG format.

Terms

Assets generated with StoryDev Character Generator ("Exported Assets") may be used for any purpose, with or without commercial intent, given the following conditions:

• The Exported Assets may not be redistributed on their own and must form part of a project.
• Watermarked assets may not be used or extracted from Character Generator in any way, including adaptations of the watermarked assets (such as attempting to remove the watermark).
• The Exported Assets can be adapted or modified after export, but StoryDev retains the copyright and cannot be claimed as your own.
• Exported Assets may not be used in NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens).

Although StoryDev reserves the right to the copyright of the assets, both originals and Exported versions, including adaptations of Exported Assets, can be optionally attributed within your project, and your project may be licensed in any way you choose as long as the license for the Exported Assets are preserved.

By choosing not to follow the following terms, you waive your right to use StoryDev Character Generator and the terms shall immediately terminate. You are obliged by copyright law to remove all copies of the software within your possession should this contract terminate.

Please note that StoryDev Character Generator is not yet supported on ARM-based systems, due to the limitations of a third-party library. We are working on a solution.
